There is something special about spending a Sunday afternoon at Montjuïc Park. On June 14, 2026, our international community came together once again for an afternoon of picnics, laughter, and new friendships. People from different countries brought snacks, shared stories, and enjoyed the beautiful green surroundings of one of Barcelona's most iconic parks. Whether you had just arrived in the city or had been living here for years, it was another reminder that Barcelona feels a little more like home when shared with others.

Sometimes the best conversations happen while riding a bike. On June 13, 2026, we left Barcelona and headed towards Vilassar de Mar for another international cycling meetup.  Along the way, we enjoyed the Mediterranean atmosphere, discovered new places, and shared stories with fellow cyclists.

There is something very Barcelona about arriving at a neighbourhood festival just when everything is already winding down. On May 31, 2026, we went to the Fiestas de l'Eixample, but by the time we arrived, most of the main activities had already finished. Still, it became a relaxed walk through the area, a chance to explore the neighbourhood together, take some photos, talk, laugh, and enjoy a simple evening with the New in Barcelona community.

Barcelona is a city best discovered on foot. On this international walk, we started in Glòries and made our way through Poblenou before heading up to Montjuïc. Along the route, we enjoyed different sides of the city, shared conversations, met new people, and spent the day exploring Barcelona together at a relaxed pace.

The streets were filled with people enjoying the atmosphere, discovering different activities, and spending time outdoors. Our day trip started early as we took the train from Barcelona to Blanes, the gateway to the Costa Brava. From there, our international group walked together towards Cala Sant Francesc, enjoying the coastal scenery and getting to know new people before reaching one of Girona's most beautiful beaches.
